How to Remove or Restrict Read.ai in Teams Meetings ?

Follow these steps to remove or restrict Read.ai access for individual users or entire organizations.

For Individual Users

1. Log in to https://app.read.ai with your Microsoft/Google account
2. Navigate to Account Settings → Meeting Assistant
3. Disable the “Auto-join meetings” option
4. Repeat for all associated accounts (personal/work) if needed

For Administrators

Via Teams Admin Center:

1. Open Microsoft Teams Admin Center
2. Go to Teams apps → Manage apps
3. Search for “Read.ai”
4. Set availability to “None”

Via Azure Portal:

1. Go to Azure Portal → Enterprise Applications
2. Search for “Read Meeting Navigator”
3. Choose:
   • Delete (full removal), OR
   • Revoke permissions

During Active Meetings

1. Remove participant:
   • In participants list → Select Read.ai → Remove
2. Chat commands:
   • Type read stop – Stops recording immediately
   • Type opt out – Deletes all collected data

Important Notes

• Azure AD removal provides the most comprehensive restriction
• Organization settings override individual user settings
• opt out command must be used during the meeting for data deletion
• Check all connected accounts if auto-join persists
